  • 2-3 tablespoons milk (adjust for desired consistency)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Pumpkin Bars:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt.

  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir until the batter is smooth.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. Allow the pumpkin bars to cool completely in the pan before icing.

For the Collagen Icing:

  1. In a bowl, combine the powdered sugar, unflavored collagen powder, milk, and vanilla extract. Start with 2 tablespoons of milk and add more as needed to achieve your desired icing consistency. Mix until the icing is smooth.

  2. Once the pumpkin bars have cooled, drizzle the collagen icing over the top. You can use a spoon or a piping bag for a more decorative effect.

  3. Let the icing set for a few minutes before cutting the bars into squares or rectangles.

  4. Serve and enjoy your Pumpkin Bars with Collagen Icing as a delightful fall dessert or snack.

These pumpkin bars are moist and full of warm, comforting flavors, and the addition of collagen to the icing provides a potential beauty boost. It's a perfect treat for the autumn season.

*Nadia's Notes: Beware!

For those of you who would rather use sugar instead of coconut sugar or a good quality honey remember that SUGAR breaks down collagen and sugar feeds cancer!

These are all the areas where SUGAR will affect your skin.
