Achieving Flawless Skin: Microneedling And the Many Ways To Do It

Writer's picture: Notes from NadiaNotes from Nadia

The significance of microneedling and its role in rejuvenation, along with the use of growth factors and especially exosomes has revolutionized non-invasive treatments. In this blog, we will explore the relationships between microneedling, growth factors, exosomes, vitamins, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, and how incorporating these treatments in your professional skincare treatments further amplifies its long-term benefits for achieving healthier, rejuvenated-looking skin.

Microneedling is a treatment where small needles make tiny pinpricks into your skin for increased collagen ( this is why it is also called COLLAGEN INDUCTION) and cellular turnover minimizing wrinkles, scars, and tightening saggy skin. This procedure done right also benefits your skin barrier, when this is not intact many skin imperfections occur. Results take up to 4 to 6 weeks and your skin will look smoother, softer, and definitely tighter.

Needling with Growth Factors and Its Benefits

Growth Factors are the body's natural tools to heal, repair, and regenerate itself. Compared to other popular treatments (like PRP/platelet-rich plasma), there are significant differentiating factors. PRP, which is drawn from the blood, centrifuged, and applied topically also contains growth factors and cytokines. These growth factors and cytokines, however, are not the ones that the skin requires while being highly inflammatory. PRP not only exacerbates inflammation, but research has actually proven that PRP is an ineffective micro-needling treatment.

Cytokines are small and membrane-bound protein-based cell signaling molecules that aid cell-to-cell communication in immune responses and stimulate the movement of cells toward sites of inflammation, infection, and trauma.

Exosomes

Exosomes, intriguingly similar to stem cells on steroids, are minuscule membrane-bound vesicles secreted by various cells in the body. These nano-sized packages play a pivotal role in cell-to-cell communication and information transfer, containing a cargo of proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids. Just as stem cells possess immense regenerative potential, exosomes also hold significant therapeutic promise due to their ability to influence neighboring and even distant cells. While stem cells can differentiate into various cell types, exosomes act as messengers, shuttling molecular instructions that modulate processes like immune response, tissue repair, and growth. This parallel between exosomes and stem cells showcases the remarkable potency of these tiny mediators in orchestrating complex physiological functions. Exosomes enable your skin to achieve enhanced regenerative outcomes.

How we do it better

No NEEDLE Microneedling? You bet!

"Stamping" and Nano Needling

All work very much like MicroNeedling BUT without the needles. By manually stamping all areas of the face and neck requires no numbing and penetrating products resulting in firmer, tighter, and very healthy glowing skin. As a stand-alone treatment. I love to do this a the end of my skin treatments for optimal penetration of customized infusions.

Stamping

In skincare, another method of needling the skin is "derma stamping." This involves the use of a device with fine needles to create tiny controlled punctures on the surface of the skin. This process is intended to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, and enhance the absorption of skincare products. It can be used to address various skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and hyperpigmentation.

Nano needling

Nano needling, also known as nano microinfusion or nano infusion, is a minimally invasive skincare treatment that uses a specialized device with fine, single-use, sterile needles at the nanoscale (much smaller than traditional microneedling needles). Unlike traditional microneedling, which creates tiny punctures in the skin, nano needling involves the gentlest form of microneedling. Nano needling is considered a less invasive alternative to traditional microneedling and may be better suited for individuals with sensitive skin or those seeking minimal downtime.

Aftercare is a must have...with continued use of GROWTH FACTORS

Our After Care Kits have been specially curated to complement the transformative effects of stem cells. It is VERY important for the days following your treatment that the stem cells are used until the skin has completely healed. Four to five days after needling you can move forward with your regular skincare regimen. Each kit contains everything from cleansers to GROWTH FACTORS that are designed to enhance and prolong the benefits of your stem cell experience.
